International Relations Night at Mi-Hub Cafe

A magnificent meal was prepared for us on Saturday night at the Mi-Hub Cafe on Hoppers Lane. Cath Smith organised an International Relations Night where those game enough were to dress in clothing synonymous with a particular country.

We had a geisha from Japan, a white green and orange outfit from Ireland, a traditional baju kurung from Malaysia, and a bloke in Australian clobber complete with singlet & flanno. A great night was had by all to the tune of some Indian pop music playing in the background.

Grungas Bash 2010 - fun in the sun

The annual “Grunga’s Bash” get together was again held at Doug and Sue Greig's beach house at Indented Head on Sunday 28 February 2010.

This annual event is a family social event which traditionally has included a barbecue, beach cricket and a swim in the tranquil sheltered waters of Indented Head. The 2010 event was no exception - and even though there was no heat wave, a few intrepid souls braved the calm water for a swim and to field in the deep.

Chris and Cath tie the knot

After a whirl-wind romance that commenced after they first met as members of the Hoppers Crossing Apex Club, Chris Smith and Cath Doyle finally became "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" on 12 September 2009. The simple ceremony was held in the Albury botanical gardens and was attended by many friends and family members of the couple. A number of Club members traveled to Albury to attend the nuptials and enjoyed the fine weather and bright sunshine on offer that day.
